Balombo
A Facilitator role inspired by West African “Talking Drums,” focused on timing, flow, and orientation.
Conductor
A Facilitator role focused on the container, field, and dynamic energetics.
Crucible
The inner surface of the Field, formed by the immediate circle of participants around the Eye.
Eye
The central space where Players bring their Offerings.
Field
The whole group gathered for YAS4US, the living Torus of shared attention and engagement.
Forum
A structured space for transformation and dialogue. A word used for different expressions of these purposes, including EST/Landmark, the ZEGG Community, and the Parents Circle-Families Forum in Israel/Palestine.
Matlala
Seat coverings that signify a session’s primary Facilitators.
Offering
A moment when a Player steps into the Eye to share what is alive for them. Offerings may be spoken, silent, playful, raw, or unresolved.
Player
Any participant called into the Eye to make an Offering. A Player may come from the Crucible, the Field, or even from the Facilitation team.
Reflections
Short sharings offered in response to a Player’s Offering.
Scratchers
Provocative Facilitator-led warm-up exercises to stimulate engagement of the group and “scratch beneath the surface” prior to individual Player Offerings.
Shadow-work
The practice of engaging with the parts of ourselves or our communities that are hidden, avoided, or repressed, to bring them into awareness and integration.
Torus
A universal energy pattern of circulation without end, flowing around and through a center point. It is the energetic shape that inspires the YAS4US container.
Weaver
The Facilitator role that guides the human fabric of the session: Players, Offerings, Reflections, and even the interventions of other facilitators.
YasVille
The home of Yashapi’s Community and activities, including its work to create, present and offer training in interpersonal processes such as YAS4US. YasVille emphasizes gatherings that are highly accessible to BIPOC/PGM and other systemically marginalized individuals, supporting compassionate engagement with ourselves, our relationships, and our impact on all we touch.
